About this tour

Four days lets you actually enjoy the desert rather than just pass through it. After two days of travel via the Atlas, Aït Ben Haddou and the gorges, you spend a whole day around Merzouga – visiting Khamlia village for Gnaoua music, sandboarding and relaxing by the lodge pool.

Your third night is in a luxury ensuite camp among the dunes, and day four takes you north through the Ziz Valley and the cedar forests to Fes.

Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Skoura – Dades (≈6 h)

Tizi n'Tichka pass, the UNESCO kasbah, Skoura oasis with Kasbah Amridil and the Rose Valley. Night in a Dades Valley hotel.

Day 2Dades – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (≈4 h)

Tinghir oasis, Todra Gorge, Erfoud and Rissani. Night at a Merzouga lodge with pool and air-conditioning.

Day 3Desert day in Merzouga

Morning in Khamlia listening to Gnaoua musicians, free afternoon for sandboarding or photos, then a sunset camel trek to the luxury camp.

Day 4Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Azrou – Fes (≈7 h)

Sunrise over the dunes, the Ziz Valley, lunch in Midelt and the cedar forest near Azrou before arriving in Fes.

In warmer months (March–September) the camp night may come first – your guide confirms when you book.

What is included in every price?

Three half-board nights, both camel rides and pickup and drop-off.

Is it OK for kids?

Yes – free child seats, and the camel ride can be shortened or replaced.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure: the deposit is kept as credit valid for 12 months.
