For the big dunes of Merzouga or Erg Chigaga plan at least 3 days from Marrakech. With only 2 days, Zagora gives you a camel ride and a night at a desert camp.

Shared tours follow a fixed route in a small-group minibus at a lower price. Private tours give you your own vehicle and driver-guide, flexible timing and stops, and per-person prices that fall as your group grows.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are ideal. Summer is hot in the desert but lovely in the mountains; winter brings cold desert nights and snow on the Atlas peaks.

Most tours collect you from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We also run desert tours from Fes, Casablanca and Agadir, including airport pickups.
