About this tour

Only the transport is shared on this small-group crossing – you get a private ensuite room in the Dades Valley and a private tent in the desert. One fixed price per person, with no single supplement.

The route links the High Atlas, the gorges of the south and the Sahara, then climbs through the Middle Atlas to Fes. A new driver usually takes over in Merzouga for the northbound leg.

Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley (≈7 h)

Cross the Atlas, explore the famous ksar (local guide optional) and settle into a private air-conditioned room in the Dades Valley for dinner and breakfast.

Day 2Dades – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (≈5 h)

Gorge viewpoints, a guided oasis walk in Tinghir and the narrow Todra canyon. In Merzouga you mount your camel for a sunset ride to camp, followed by dinner and music around the fire.

Day 3Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Fes (≈8 h)

Ride back at sunrise, freshen up with a shower and breakfast at the lodge, then travel north with lunch in Midelt and a stop with the macaques before arriving in Fes.
