Moroccan & Berber Cooking Class in the Atlas Mountains
About this tour
Mountain cooking in Morocco is all about fresh, seasonal produce and techniques handed down through families: tagines that simmer for hours, flatbread baked on stone, couscous steamed in layers and, of course, the ceremony of mint tea.
In this hands-on class you work alongside a local cook in a village kitchen near Imlil. You knead and shape Amazigh bread, build a tagine from scratch with spices and vegetables, learn how to pour tea the Moroccan way and prepare salads or couscous as time allows. Then comes the best part: eating everything together. Recipes are yours to take home.
