Amazigh Berber Village & Culture Experience
About this tour
The Amazigh – often called Berbers – are the original people of North Africa, and in the High Atlas they have shaped the landscape for centuries, terracing steep slopes and building homes from the mountain's own stone and earth.
On this gentle half-day experience a guide from the valley takes you into a working village: you see how houses and granaries are built, walk the irrigated terraces, share tea and conversation with a family and, when someone is baking, watch flatbread cooked on a hot stone. Nothing is staged – it is a real visit, with your guide translating both language and meaning.
