Imlil to Sidi Chamharouch Day Hike
About this tour
Sidi Chamharouch is a small shrine settlement high in the Toubkal valley – a pilgrimage site for Moroccans and the classic halfway point on the way to the summit. Reaching it and returning makes a rewarding full-day hike from Imlil.
The trail climbs steadily past Aroumd and into the upper valley, where the scenery becomes wilder with every hundred metres: sheer rock walls, scree slopes and the river far below. With 12–15 km and 800–1,000 m of ascent this is a real mountain day, so good fitness, proper boots and a licensed guide are essential.
