About this tour

At 1,740 m the light in Imlil is something special: crisp, clear and constantly changing as morning mist burns off the ridges and evening sun rakes across the terraces. For photographers the valley is a gift.

This private walk is shaped entirely around photography. Your guide knows the best viewpoints, villages and terraces for each time of day and season, and helps you approach cultural photography respectfully. Bring a smartphone or a full camera kit – all levels are welcome, and the route can be a half day or a full day from sunrise to golden hour.

Stop 108:00 – Optional sunrise

Early start to catch first light on the Toubkal massif.

Stop 209:00 – Meet your guide in Imlil

Talk through your interests, gear and the day's conditions.

Stop 309:15 – Village photography

Morning light on lanes, doorways and daily life.

Stop 411:00 – Terraces and landscapes

Wide compositions from terraced viewpoints.

Stop 512:30 – Lunch break

Rest and review your shots.

Stop 614:00 – Higher viewpoints

Climb to a ridge for afternoon compositions (full day).

Stop 716:30 – Golden hour

Get into position for the best late light, then return to Imlil.

Meet your guide in Imlil village (exact meeting point sent with your confirmation). Private transfer from Marrakech (≈1 h 30) available on request.

Can we photograph local people?

Yes, with permission. Your guide will introduce you and ask on your behalf.

Cancellation policy

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the experience.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before: the deposit is kept as credit valid for 12 months.
  • Free date change when requested at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability.
  • If weather or safety conditions make the tour impossible, we offer a new date or a full refund.
