Imlil Waterfalls & Mountain Villages Walk
About this tour
After the spring snowmelt, streams pour off the slopes above Imlil and tumble down a string of waterfalls in the side gorges of the Ait Mizane valley. This half-day walk takes you to them along shaded forest paths and old stone bridges.
After a rest by the falls the route turns into a loop through neighbouring villages, past terraces, granaries and flat-roofed stone houses, before dropping back to Imlil. Expect 10–12 km and 400–500 m of ascent – water and village life in one morning.

Frequently asked questions
Do the waterfalls flow all year?
They are strongest from March to May. In late summer some falls shrink to a trickle, but the forest and village loop are lovely in every season.
Can we swim at the falls?
Paddling is possible in warm months, but the pools are shallow and the rocks slippery – your guide will show you the safe spots.
