Tizi Mzik Pass Day Hike from Imlil (2,489 m)
About this tour
Tizi Mzik is the pass that links Imlil with the Azzaden Valley on the western side of the Toubkal massif. The trail switchbacks up the southern flank of the valley through juniper and scrub, gaining height steadily until the cairn at the col.
From the top the whole Azzaden opens below you – terraces, the river and the village of Tizi Oussem far down on the valley floor. After a rest and a picnic you return the same way. About 12 km return, 714 m of ascent and roughly 6 hours of walking.
