2-Day Azzaden Valley Trek from Imlil via Tizi Mzik
About this tour
The Azzaden is the western twin of the Imlil valley – same massif, different world. Where Imlil is the busy road to Toubkal, the Azzaden is lush, terraced and quiet, with villages linked only by mule paths.
Day one climbs from Imlil via Mzik village to the Tizi Mzik pass and drops into the Azzaden to sleep in Id Issa. Day two returns by a different route over Tizi Oudid (≈2,000 m) through Matat and Aguersioual – a true circuit, never retracing your steps. 5–6 hours of walking each day with a mule carrying your bags.
