About this tour

Flying into Marrakech and home from Casablanca? This one-way private tour turns the transfer into the highlight of your trip, crossing the High Atlas to the Sahara and then climbing north through the Ziz Gorges and Middle Atlas.

Expect around 1,350 km of spectacular roads with a luxury camp in Erg Chebbi, Meski's Blue Spring, the Légionnaire's Tunnel and a final stop in Meknes before you're dropped at the airport or your hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Skoura – Dades

Cross the Atlas, spend about 90 minutes at Aït Ben Haddou, lunch in Ouarzazate and continue through Skoura and the Rose Valley to the Dades Valley.

Day 2Dades – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga

Dades Gorge viewpoint, Tinghir and a Todra Gorge walk, Erfoud (optional fossil workshop) and Rissani, then a sunset camel trek to camp.

Day 3Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Ziz Gorges – Midelt

Sunrise over the dunes, the Aoufous panorama, Meski's Blue Spring, the Ziz Gorges and the Légionnaire's Tunnel. Night in Midelt.

Day 4Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Meknes – Casablanca

Leave around 08:00 through Zaida and Timahdite to the cedar forest, Ifrane and Meknes, then the motorway to Casablanca.

Yes. Arrival is usually 17:00–18:30, so share your flight time when booking.

When is the best season?

March–May and September–November. Winter can bring snow near Ifrane and the Atlas passes.
