Imlil to Aroumd Village Mountain Walk
About this tour
Aroumd – also written Aremd – sits on a rocky spur above the Mizane river and is one of the highest year-round villages in Morocco. This walk follows the paths locals have used for centuries to link Imlil with Aroumd and the hamlets beyond.
It is slow travel at its best: the valley opens up bend by bend, terraced walnut orchards climb the slopes and the Toubkal massif fills the horizon. Along the way your guide talks about water rights, seasonal herding and the families who have worked these terraces for generations. Around 8–10 km with 350–450 m of ascent.
