Mount Toubkal Circuit Trek – 3 Days with Acclimatisation
About this tour
This three-day loop is our recommended way up Toubkal. Instead of climbing straight to the refuge, day one crosses Tizi n'Mzik (2,489 m) into the beautiful Azzaden Valley and spends the night in a mountain hut at Tamsoult – a gentler start that reduces the risk of altitude sickness.
Day two passes the Ighouliden waterfalls and crosses the 3,560 m Aguelzim Pass to the Toubkal Refuge, and on day three you leave before dawn for the summit.

It adds an acclimatisation day via the Azzaden Valley, which lowers the risk of altitude sickness.
What fitness do I need?
Good fitness for 5–7 hours of hiking per day; no mountaineering experience.
Can I do it in winter?
Yes, but heavy snow can close the Aguelzim Pass and the route may be adapted.
